The menopause occurs when a change in the body’s sex hormone balance. Prior to this, oestrogen levels lower, and because of this change, the ovaries stop producing monthly eggs (ovulation). Oestrogen production reduces and periods will eventually stop. This reduction can cause many symptoms, including: hot flushes, night sweats, mood swings, vaginal dryness.
In my research, I came across this list of 34 symptoms that affect many women in some way. This is due to hormonal imbalances.

Drinking water can also help with the weight gain and bloated feeling as it flushes the body and helps maintain healthy kidneys.
Sleep disorder is something we all suffer with from time to time but especially as we get older, so I used the “Energetix Bandage” (MagnetBandage) which can be effective for a number of different symptoms but is highly recommended for lack of sleep. By placing the Bandage under your pillow it will help promote good blood flow and hopefully bring you sweet dreams!
However, like so many of you the hot flushes and night sweats are probably the worst thing. I must admit that even wearing my magnets every day (and night) I do occasionally get the odd hot flush. I have found that in addition to the magnets, taking vitamins is recommended for the menopause – which can be purchased in many stores – and taking regular exercise have ensured that my menopausal symptoms have been much more controllable.
I am not a doctor, nor do I have any special training in alternative medicine; all I can tell you is that this is what I have done to help myself and it worked for me so there is no reason why it can’t work for you.

MAGNETIC WATER
Our bodies are made up of 70% water. Water from the tap loses its natural magnetic force (which some would say contributes to many of our common illness today including excess acidity and bile in our digestive systems and bowels). By drinking just 1-2 litres of magnetised water a day may calm some of the acidity in the body and doing so help with our digestive problems.
Magnetising your water couldn’t be easier. All you need is an Energetix magnetic stick, which is 2,000 Gauss. Just leave the stick in the glass or jug for a minimum of 10 minutes and its ready. The magnets will neutralise the chemicals in the water, soften it and change the taste to that similar to that of fresh spring water at the same time.
I personally have a Energetix magnet stick in a water jug in the fridge, this is used daily to top up the dogs bowls as well as for our drinking water and once a week I water the plants. I even have a magnet stick in my fish tank to help keep the water constantly alkaline.

When can’t you wear a magnet;
If you wear anything electrical in the body, hearing implants, pacemakers, pain-relief etc. The magnets will not harm the items but they may drain the battery.
We also advise against wearing a magnet if you are pregnant. This is only because there could be a physiological change in the body and as yet there have been no tests done on pregnant woman to ascertain a positive or negative result.

Some of the most common symptoms for menopausal women…
Hot Flushes and Night Sweats: A hot flush is a sudden feeling of heat It often starts in your face or chest,and will then spread.
The skin may become red and patchy, and you sweat. Your heart rate may increase and become noticeable. It may be very strong and cause palpitations which some women find upsetting.
If the hot flushes happen at night, these are known as night sweats. Even though flushes usually last only a couple of minutes, it can cause upset for the women experiencing it. Usually they are most common in the first year after a woman’s periods stop.
Sleep Problems: Many menopausal women have trouble sleeping because of night sweats. Sleep disturbances may also occur, as a result of anxiety.
You may find that a lack of sleep makes you irritable and that you have problems with your short-term memory and ability to concentrate.
Vaginal Symptoms: During the lead up to the menopause, you may experience vaginal dryness, itching or discomfort. This can make sex difficult or painful (dyspareunia). These symptoms combined are known as vaginal atrophy.
About a third of women experience vaginal atrophy shortly after the menopause, with slightly more women having them later on. In some cases, vaginal atrophy can last for more than 10 years after your final period.
If you have vaginal symptoms, it’s likely they will continue or get worse unless they are treated.
Urinary Symptoms: During the menopause, you’re more likely to have recurring lower UTIs, such as cystitis. You may also feel an urgent and frequent need to go to the toilet.
